The former head of Google’s now-shuttered Stadia service reportedly left
Phil Harrison, who was formerly in charge of Google’s cloud gaming service Stadia, left the company in January 2021, when the service was officially shut down. Harrison had a long history in the gaming industry, joining Google in 2018 to work on Stadia which was released to the public the following year. Despite its promising launch, the service failed to gain traction and was ultimately shut down after 14 months.
