Google is trying to make sure you can delete your account from apps
Google is introducing a new rule to the Play Store that will require apps to have an easily accessible option for users to delete their accounts and data. The rule will apply to apps that require an account and developers have to provide a link to the web address for account deletion. There are some caveats to the policy, such as allowing users to temporarily deactivate or freeze their account not being enough to meet the requirement. The deadline for developers to provide more information about their data deletion practices is December 7th and users will be able to see how an app handles account and data deletion early next year.
