Nuclear Power in Space: US to Launch First Reactor in Decades

#shorts #US #energy #Agena spacecraft #electricity After 60 years, the US is finally sending a nuclear reactor into space again! This time, it’s gonna be way more powerful than the last one, which only lasted 43 days before it broke. This new reactor will be able to generate up to 20 kilowatts of electricity, which is four times more powerful than conventional solar arrays. The project is currently in the preliminary design review stage, so hopefully we’ll be seeing this bad boy in space soon.
