Microsoft 365 Copilot is coming to Microsoft Edge browser

The company has announced that it will soon be bringing its artificial intelligence-powered Copilot assistant to the Edge browser.

Microsoft 365 Copilot is the company’s extensive Office digital assistant powered by OpenAI.

It currently only comes in the Chrome browser, but eventually it will come to Edge as well.

Copilot in Edge uses whatever website the user is currently visiting as context to complete tasks elsewhere — such as in Office documents, Outlook emails, and other places with Microsoft 365 Cop Pilot reach.

Microsoft’s group product manager for Edge enterprise, Lindsay Kubasik, offered a few examples of how Microsoft 365 COPilot works on Edge in a new blog post.

You can type natural language requests like asking to receive an update on the status of an office product strategy today, and Microsoft365 Copilot will generate a status update based on the morning’s meetings, email, and chat threads.
