Basically, it means an object got knocked off the moon and became quasi-satellites, which are objects that orbit Earth rather than the Moon. Think of them as smaller versions of satellites. The new theory suggests that an object like the moon could have been co-orbital with Earth–that is, lifted up from the Moon and later placed on Earth. This would make it possible for it to eventually become a satellite. The authors conclude that a mission to collect a sample of this unique fragment of the moon
