Amazon has just opened up its Sidewalk network to give any gadget free low speed data for a month.
Amazon Sidewalk is a low-power, low-bandwidth, long-range IoT network available to 90% of the US population. It has been designed to enable the next wave of connected devices, such as dog trackers, package trackers, soil moisture sensors, and weather stations. It works over three existing wireless radio technologies โ€” BLE for short distances, LoRa for long range, and 900MHz. It is free to use and can be accessed through a Sidewalk developer test kit. It is also possible to bridge to the internet using any nearby Sidewalk gateway, including Echo Show 10, Echo, Echo Dot smart speakers, and wired Ring spotlight and floodlight cameras.
