Elon Musk has announced plans to appoint a new Twitter CEO, but hasn’t yet said who the new CEO will be.
According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, the new chief executive will be NBC Universal advertising executive Linda Yaccarino.
Twitter and NBCUniversal recently announced an expanded partnership to promote NBCU’s coverage of the 2023 Olympic Games, which includes live-streaming replays of the games on NBCU.
The Journal reports that she is in talks to take over as Twitter CEO.Musk took control of Twitter several months ago after taking over from Matt Baron, who was ousted due to poor performance.
Musk has been struggling with finding a profitable business model for the company.
His Twitter takeover even affected the platform’s advertising business, as ads were pulled away from rival Facebook.
