Text2Room: A New Method for Generating Room-Scale Textured 3D Meshes from a Given Text Prompt
Researchers have developed a technique to generate 3D meshes from text prompts using 2D text-to-image models and monocular depth estimation. This technique is able to produce scene-scale 3D models with appealing textures and uniform geometry, using a two-stage customized perspective selection to sample camera poses from ideal angles. The technique is able to create seamless, undistorted geometry and textures using depth alignment and mesh fusion methods.
