Now Microsoft Plans to Build a Data Center on the Foxconn Land in Wisconsin
Microsoft has purchased land previously cleared for Foxconn’s LCD factory that never arrived in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin. The project will help the Village pay down some of the debt it took on to prepare the site for Foxconn. Microsoft will build a $1 billion data center, be eligible for $5 million in tax credits per year, and start construction no later than 2026. Despite this, Foxconn insists the large glass orb on the site is a data center and has refused access to local journalists.
