The Russian threat actor known as Shuckworm has continued its cyber assault spree against Ukrainian entities in a bid to steal sensitive information from compromised environments, Symantec reports.
The company details in a new report shared with The Hacker News.
It seems clear that Russian nation-state-backed attack groups continue to laser in on Ukrainian targets in attempts to find data that may help their military operations, the cybersecurity company says.
Many of the recent intrusions have been very long-running and some have lasted for more than three months.
This activity demonstrates that Shuck Worm’s relentless focus on Ukraine continues, Symvantec said.
According to the company, the Russian group succeeded in staging many of the intrusions, lasting for as long as three months
