Google is bringing YouTube, Waze, and Zoom to cars with Android Auto software

In an announcement today, Google shows off some new features coming to cars with Android Auto.

The company lists a bunch of new features including YouTube, Waze, and video conferencing apps like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Webex by Cisco.

It also notes that more automakers are releasing cars with Google built-in.

It’s growing list of manufacturers that offer cars with the company’s software.

Here’s a sampling of the companies:Tesla started rolling out Zoom functionality late last year, and the new 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class also includes video confregating capabilities.

Google wouldn’t comment on whether it expects future cars to have cameras with in-cabin cameras for video sharing or whether they’ll have onboard Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
