Internet users just found out how Parmesan cheese is made. Traditionally it’s from cow’s milk aged 12 months in copper vats. Animal rennet from calf stomachs is added, which grosses out vegetarians. Now some cheesemakers use vegetable rennet instead. Always check with your waiter before getting Parmesan grated on your pasta if you don’t want the calf stomach juice.
