Twitter is officially beginning to roll out support for encrypted direct messages (DMs) on the platform, more than six months after its chief executive Elon Musk first teased the idea.
DMs will appear as separate conversations in users’ inboxes and will be available to verified users or affiliates of a verified organization.
Some other notable restrictions are as follows -Users can only register a maximum of up to 10 devices to send and receive encrypted messages.
The feature is currently limited to verified Users or affiliates to averified organization.

That said, the opt-in feature is now limited to verifiable users or affiliated with a verified organisation.
