Though small for a sauropod, the partial skeleton helps fill gaps about African dinosaurs from the late Cretaceous era. Forgotten after its 1970s discovery, the fossil was re-examined and found to be a previously unknown titanosaur genus and species related to those in Eurasia. More work needed to fully reconstruct the extinct god-rex.
