Runway, an AI startup, has launched a mobile app on iOS which uses their video-to-video generative AI model, Gen-1.
Users can transform existing videos based on text, image, or video input, creating entirely new videos.
Outputs are often strange, and the app has certain limitations such as no nudity or copyright-protected work, and videos can be no longer than 5 seconds.
The app has some inefficiencies and errors, but offers a more fluid experience than the company’s main software suite.
Gen-2 will be added soon, and AI tools have the potential to create impressive results.
