The Great Wall of China 2.0: The Giant Sea Wall of Jakarta**
The Great Wall of China was built centuries ago to keep out nomadic tribes from the north. But could another great wall be the solution to a different problem? One ambitious idea is to construct a “Great Seawall” complex in defense of its coasts. Since 2014, Indonesia has been building the Giant Sea Wall Jakarta, a vast megaproject that involves constructing a giant seawall, water reservoirs, and reclaiming flooded land. So there you have it, folks. The Great Wall of China 2.0: The Giant Sea Wall of Jakarta. Coming soon to a coast near you!
