ChatGPT user arrested in China for spreading fake news

In a statement released by the police, Hong is accused of using ChatGPT to write fake news articles.

The articles were viewed over 15,000 times before being removed.

Chinese authorities have detained a man in the Gansu province and traced the articles to an independent company owned by Hong that runs several blog-type outlets.

Hong claimed he was using ChatgPT to rewrite articles and generate money through internet traffic.

China is one of the few countries that’s blocked access to chatGPT, but residents can get around these restrictions using a VPN connection.

The detained man, Hong, has been accused of writing fake articles and then posting them on the net after his friends had shown him how to generate money through web traffic.
