ChatGPT is a trademark of iHeartMedia, and employees are not authorized to

ChatGPT and other artificial intelligence tools like chatbot have been banned by iHeartMedia for the same reason: They could leak proprietary information.

According to an internal memo obtained by Hot Pod, Pittman and Bressler sent an email yesterday to company employees instructing them not to use ChatGPT in order to prevent data leaks.

Despite the ban on chatbots, iheartMedia has embraced AI in the past (the broadcaster once rolled out AI DJs — which led to human layoffs).iHeartMedia joins a growing list of companies that are greatly restricting or banning the use of ChatG PT and other generative AI tools by employees due to concerns that the chatbot could leak confidential information.

Our friends at Hot Pod report that even more companies are implementing bans on these types of AI tools as they become more and more aware of the potential for data leaks
