Amazon has ended its periodicals program, and independent publishers are panicking

In March, Amazon announced that it would stop offering subscriptions in the United States.

It has since become part of the Kindle Unlimited program, which allows people to pay a monthly fee for access to books and magazines subscriptions.

A recent editorial in the August issue of the Fantasy Magazine announces that this will be the magazine’s last issue.

Clarkesworld has been invited to become an included in Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited subscribers.

No more subscriptions outside of Kindle Unlimited.

Last March, we mentioned this was coming.

discontinued all print and Kindle magazine and newspaper subscriptions.

Clarkesworld is one of many titles that have been canceled or reduced in price as part of this new policy.

The narrator says he grew up subscribing to and reading The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, Analog, and a bunch of others.

Some genre, some not.
