U.S. Cybersecurity Agency Adds 6 More Flaws to Catalog of Known Expl

Kaspersky reports that the U.S. government has added six new vulnerabilities to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) catalog, citing evidence of active exploitation.

This includes three vulnerabilities that Apple patched this week, two flaws in VMware, and one shortcoming affecting Zyxel devices.

The agency also published a malicious message that does not provide any alerts or notifications for the user.

Kaspersky noted in its initial report that the exploit uses two vulnerabilities in iOS.The Russian cybersecurity company’s investigation into Operation Triangulation began at the start of the year when it detected the compromise in its own enterprise network.

It says that the malicious message is malformed and does not trigger any alert or notification for the individual user.
