Alessandro Paluzzi, a developer who frequently digs into app code to expose unreleased features, had earlier spotted that Meta had released its Twitter clone, Thread, into the Google Play store.
That leak served as the catalyst for the cage match between Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter CEO Elon Musk.
Following Cox’s statement, Musk tweeted that he was up for a cage match if Zuckerberg agreed.

It’s not surprising that Threads looks… a lot like Twitter.
Here’s the catch: The app is nowhere to be found now.
In fact, it appears as though that was a mistake, however, because the app is no longer found on the Play Store.
