Scientists are still trying to figure out when humans started wearing clothes. The oldest piece of clothing we have is a linen v-neck shirt from Egypt that’s about 5,000 years old. But there’s evidence that humans were making and wearing clothes as early as 8,500 years ago. And even earlier than that, 30,000 years ago, some humans were twisting and dying wild flax fibers to make clothes. So when did we start wearing clothes? Scientists aren’t sure, but it was probably pretty early on. Maybe even before we were fully human. But one thing is for sure: we’ve come a long way since the days of the loincloth.
