The next day, Nokto unveils a new feature for its news app: It can now use artificial intelligence to rewrite headlines that have been flagged as misleading.
This makes it possible because Systrom and Krieger have invested so heavily in the technology behind natural language processing.
For example, if a story has more than one owner, the machine will automatically tag it with additional tags and, eventually, will replace it with more flattering articles that have not been manipulated by the reader.
The company also offers a way to flag hoaxes and clickbait stories.
But not Artifact, the news discovery app, according to Systrom; that’s because it doesn’t have enough people to tag the items it shows up on screen.
