Billions of dollars are spent to get astronauts to the moon, they spend years training, and they deliver speeches that will echo for ages, and yet when they reach the moon they end up walking around like newborn deer trying to step on Jell-O. There have been dangerous moments, like when Charlie Duke tried to be too athletic in his lunar walk.
In 1972, on Apollo 16, he and his commander decided to stage a Moon Olympics, where they would try to beat some human records of athleticism through cheating.
