Snake Warrior’s Head Unearthed At Chichén Itzá – See The Incredible Photos!

#shorts #Maya world #Chichén Itzá #Kukulcán #centimeters Archaeologists excavating the ruins of Chichén Itzá in Mexico have unearthed a stone statue of a serpent warrior’s head. The ancient sculpture is likely to date from the Maya Late Classic period, which lasted from around 600 to 900 CE. The find suggests that the relic may have been linked to Kukulcán, the Mayan snake god. But don’t worry, this discovery doesn’t mean that the serpent warrior is coming back to life to sacrifice more humans. The statue is too small and fragile for that.
