QuaDream, an Israeli spyware vendor, is reportedly shutting down operations less than a week after its hacking toolset was exposed by Citizen Lab and Microsoft.
The board of directors is looking to sell off its intellectual property.
Their spyware framework, REIGN, was used to attack journalists, political opposition figures, and NGO workers across multiple regions.
It exploited a now-patched flaw in iOS to exfiltrate sensitive information.
QuaDream has been selling end-to-end hacking tools and was allegedly sold to Saudi Arabia to carry out zero-click attacks.
They also independently developed an exploit to break into iPhones.
