Over 101,100 compromised OpenAI ChatGPT account credentials have found their way onto dark web marketplaces between June 2022 and May 2023, with India accounting for 12,632 of them.
The Asia-Pacific region has experienced the highest concentration of ChatG PT credentials being offered for sale over the past year.
Logs containing compromised information harvested by info stealers are actively traded on darkweb marketplaces, Group-IB said.
It further says that over 26,802 of these compromised chatGPT accounts were those belonging to India alone.
Over 101,000 of these infected documents can be bought on dark web marketsplaces as of May 20 23 using a currency called chats.ai This is more than any other currency in the world.
