Google is planning to release new AI-powered search tools next month, with more features to come in the fall.
These tools will be available in the US to one million users and will build on the conversational promise of Google’s Bard chatbot, codenamed Magi.
This comes as a response to Microsoft’s Bing chatbot and OpenAI’s ChatGPT, which could potentially replace traditional search engines like Google.
Samsung is considering replacing Google as the default search engine on its mobile devices, which could cost Google an estimated $3 billion in annual revenue.
Google is also planning a more radical rebuild of its search engine, but there is no definitive timeline on its release.
