A new process injection technique called Mockingjay could be exploited by attackers to bypass security solutions and execute malicious code on compromised systems.
Process injection is an attack technique that allows adversaries to inject code into processes in order to evade process-based defenses and elevate privileges.
According to the company, it can be used to perform two different kinds of process injection — self-injection and remote process injection.
Injection through a DLL can occur via the RWRX section of a vulnerabledll, for example, or by using the Remote Process Injection Suite (RPS) in a remote application such as ssh.exe.
Remote process injection, on the other hand, entails using the RWX section in the vulnerable DLL to perform process injection in aremote process such as sshd.org.
