In a report, Check Point details a new Android malware campaign that uses an old, previously undiscovered strain of the Flutter software development framework to create malicious applications.
The malware infects millions of devices in East Asia and consists of several malicious Android applications that stole the victims’ credentials and two-factor authentication (2FA) codes.
The malicious apps have been found to imitate real applications, with some of them having more than 1,000,000 installs.
Various sectors in East Asian markets have been subjected to a new email phishing campaign that distributes a previously undocumented strain of Android malware called FluHorse.
According to the report, the malware features several maliciousAndroid applications that mimic legitimate applications, most of which have more than 100,000 installed.
The malicious Apps steal the victims ‘ credentials and 2FA codes.
