Microsoft’s Copilot AI can now help deploy and micromanage cable technicians

In order to help field workers streamline their workflows, Microsoft is integrating its Copilot AI assistant into its field services platform.

Previously, it had only offered this service to industrial customers.

Now, it will be added to the Dynamics 365 service used by field workers like cable technicians and electric repair personnel.

With Copilot, service requests will automatically pre-populate information such as the number of times a customer has reached out for service before.

Supervisors can review the work order before sending it off to field technicians.

“A lot of field workers often rely on pen and paper, with most tools fragmented, so it takes a long time to complete jobs,” Cheng tells The Verge.

Microsoft hopes to bring generative AI to frontline field workers by bringing back the power of machine learning
