Microsoft releases patches for 74 new vulnerabilities in its August update

Microsoft patches several vulnerabilities, including the remote code execution bug that led to the earlier warning.

Also released by the tech giant are two updates for Microsoft Office suite that stop the attack chain leading to the Remote Code Execution bug.

Other vendors have patched similar vulnerabilities over the past few weeks.

Here’s a sampling of the stuff they’ve patched:Software Patches from Other VendorsIn addition to Microsoft, security updates have also been released by other vendors.

These include fixes for a number of spoofing vulnerabilities in Apache Ambari, Hadoop, Apache Hive, Azure Apache Oozie, Azure DevOps Server, Azure HDInsight Jupyter, and .NET

Framework.

Anyone who gains access to these services through a remote control session can execute arbitrary code with impunity.
