Recent reports have revealed that Microsoft’s Edge browser is sending URLs visited by users to its Bing API website, and this feature is enabled by default.
Reddit users were the first to spot this privacy issue, and Microsoft has since stated they are looking into it.
It appears that the feature was intended to let users follow their favorite content creators on YouTube and other sites, but it is not working correctly, sending nearly every domain visited to Bing.
Microsoft has yet to explain why URLs are being sent to the bingapis.com service and how Edge has been configured to do so.
