This is the second edition of the machine learning model that Meta has released.
The first was called Llama 2.
Now, the company has also released a version optimized for programming tasks.
This new version of the model will be even more useful for academic research because it can be used to train real-time code analysis tools like those developed by Ray Kurzweil and his team at Alphabet Inc.Kumar says that the community that emerged from the initial release of the original Llama model has helped create communities dedicated to discussing how the model behaves and what changes can be made to it.
Today, Meta announces that it has released Code Llama, an improved version of its model designed especially for programming languages.
The release could mean more developers getting a taste of AI-assisted coding
