On Tuesday, the company announced that it’s rolling out parental controls for both Messenger and Instagram.
For Messenger, parents will now receive a prompt when their children block someone.
And on Instagram, parents can expect similar updates.
The company is also trying out a new notification on Instagram that recommends that teens close the app if they’re browsing through Reels at night.
In addition to these features, Meta is testing a new safeguard for its messaging system on Instagram.
According to the company, this will help parents better supervise their children’s relationships with their accounts.
Meta is launching a suite of new parental control features for both Instagram and Messenger.
Including, but not limited to, a warning on Instagram and an alert on Messenger about unsafe content
