Yep, according to this guy, the son of God was a figment of some ancient stoners’ hallucinations.
Allegro said early Christians misunderstood psychedelic trip reports as scripture.
So the miracles of Christ were really just a bunch of ancient hippies tripping balls.
While most dismissed Allegro’s wild theory, it does make you wonder what else is hidden in those dusty old scrolls.
One thing’s for sure – this scholar took biblical interpretation to a whole new level.
