Russia’s military intelligence service is responsible for multiple phishing campaigns targeting hundreds of users in Ukraine to gather intelligence and influence public discourse in the country.
The group has been active since 2009 and has been linked to the 85th Special Service Center, Unit 74455 and the Cuba ransomware group.
They have targeted organizations in the energy sector, media, governments and military entities as well as users of popular Telegram channels.
They have also created online personas to spread pro-Russian narratives and post targets for DDoS attacks.
