This is a pretty big deal: Google says that it’s having trouble crawling Twitter because the site has changed.
Over the past few days, Twitter has made some minor changes to the visibility of tweets on the site .
These changes have had an effect on how Google crawls Twitter, too.
See the infographic below.
Google says these changes are supposed to be temporary and will eventually cause the site to return to its old, pre-Twitter self.
If that happens, there’s a good chance you’ll see more tweets in your search results.
We’re going to go back to waiting for those temporary rate limits to lift.
But in the meantime, here’s hoping that this experiment works well and we see more of Twitter in our search results in the future.
