Google Meet has now enabled 1080p video calls for select Workspace and Google One subscribers, although users must access the feature from the web-based version and their computer’s webcam must support this resolution.
To turn on HD video, users can select the three dots in the top right corner of their video feed.
This upgrade is a welcome improvement, as other videoconferencing apps such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams have supported 1080p video calls for some time.
