Google recently implemented a limit on the number of files that can be created and saved in Drive, but quickly rolled it back after realizing it could affect a small number of users. These users may have reached the 5 million file cap, which was not alerted to them beforehand, and were left with the task of compressing or relocating their excess files. Google is now exploring alternate approaches to ensure a great experience for all.
