Google is adding support for eSignatures to Docs and Drive in an attempt to make it easier for people to request signatures and sign documents.
It has been testing the feature for a year and a half and today it’s finally ready for prime time.
Screenshots show how Docs users will be able to request a signature or initials from recipients and set up a date signed” box that can be set to auto-fill.
There are plenty of pieces of software that already offer eSignature support, ranging from cloud-based options like Dropbox through to local programs like Adobe Acrobat.
