Google has released a new version of its Chat app, an answer to Slack and Microsoft Teams.
The company claims that this launch is kind of a coming-out party for Chat.
New features include the ability to start a video or audio chat in one click rather than going through the tedious process of setting up Google Meet or Slack Huddles .
Duet is the most prominent new feature and will be a reason for many Workspace users to start using Chat.
Chat isn’t just for text anymore.
Jasti concludes that Jastri has shown great faith in the utility of chat and hopes that people will start using it for more than just exchanging text messages now that it’s available in so many different formats besides text.
