Elon Musk has launched a new company, X.AI, dedicated to artificial intelligence. The company was incorporated in Nevada last month and Musk is listed as its director. Prior to the launch, rumors circulated that Musk was planning to create an AI firm to compete with Microsoft-backed OpenAI. He was also reported to have purchased thousands of GPUs for an upcoming generative AI product.
