This week Disney found itself in some hot water over its promo poster for ‘Loki’ Season 2, which appears to feature AI-generated art stolen from Shutterstock without credit. Illustrators were quick to call out the dodgy background image, saying it screams ‘AI’ with its weird artifacts and meaningless squiggles. Turns out it’s identical to a stock photo uploaded this year, which definitely throws some Time Variance Authority-levels of suspicion on Disney. But the Mouse isn’t talking, leaving us to wonder: does this poster prove Disney’s not Loki enough to give proper credit? More like Low-key, amiright?
