Cybercriminals abusing Cloudflare for hosting phishing pages, experts warn

Threat actors are using Cloudflare R2 to host phishing pages.

According to analytics firm Netskope, there’s been a 61-fold increase in the amount of time that Phishing sites have been hosted on Cloudflrange R2 over the past six months.

Why is this happening?

Because the referring site requires a phishing site passed on to it as a parameter.

The company’s Turnstile anti-bot platform uses a CAPTCHA replacement, which allows it to place pages behind anti-bot barriers.

In other words, it prevents scanning tools like URLscanner.io from reaching the actual phishing page.

On the other hand, the referring site just needs a .NETSKOPE site to be able to see it.
