Just months after OpenAI created the ChatGPT chatbot, criminals and hackers start touting the capabilities of their own custom-made text-generating systems.
These systems could, theoretically, supercharge criminals’ ability to write malware or phishing emails that trick people into handing over their login information.
cybercriminals and hackers alike are using these new systems to create two large language models (LLMs) that they say they have produced.
The systems, which are said to mimic the functionalities of ChatGpt and Google’s Bard, generate text to answer the questions or prompts users enter.
Kelley says in an email that the AI models are notably useful for phishing, particularly as they lower the entry barriers for novice thieves
