In a press release on Sept 14, Bull Bitcoin announced a partnership with SINPE Movil, the country’s main payment system, and local wallet provider, Bitcoin Jungle.
The exchange noted that it marks the first time Costa Ricans and foreigners will convert local fiat to the largest cryptocurrency without relying on international banking services.
It also allows for conversion between local Colones and Bitcoin using bank transfers.
The company plans to offer its services to 1 billion global customers in the next 12 months.
