Apple is bringing back the Mac Pro with new chips designed for 2023.
These new chips, called the M2 Ultra, include six open PCIe Gen 4 slots for expansion and offer eight built-in Thunderbolt ports.
It’s the first big update to the MacPro in four years and completes Apple’s transition to its own Arm-powered Silicon.
The new model will be available starting next week for $6,999.Artificial intelligence has come a long way in the last four years.
MacBook Air, Mac Mini, and MacBook Pro were all introduced with Intel’s original M1 chip technology.
Intel first shipped the initial M1 Chip in the MacBook Air in 2008.
Since then, the company has released several variations of the chip, including the latest one, which was first seen on the MacBook Pro.
