Android Malware Targets Credit Cards and 2FA Codes Using Flutter

This Android malware family, called Fluhorse, incorporates all of its malicious elements directly into the Flutter code.

It has a goal to steal credentials, credit card details, and two-factor authentication codes.

The encryption algorithm is AES-128CBC.Cybersecurity researchers have now figured out how to reverse the logic of many other malicious Flutter applications statically, which is a big step forward in the battle against mobile malware ever since anti-virus companies were first able to reversewrite old, legacy applications using machine learning techniques such as reversejacking.

More malicious apps will likely be released in the future, so keep your eye out for this family of Android malware.

Here are some more details about the app: it uses the same hard-coded string for the key and initialization vector (IV).
