According to a report from 404 Media, Microsoft is dragging its feet on fixing yet another security vulnerability.
This one’s about to get worse: hackers can now see a user’s general location by having them open a message containing a link .
Yossi told Microsoft about this earlier this month, but the company has only now promised to issue a patch after the outlet reached out.
The flaw, which was uncovered by the independent security researcher Yossy, allows hackers to see a users general location just by forcing them to open a simple message.
The researcher demonstrated the flaw to 404 Media by showing its reporter open links to Google.com and 404media.co
